What you need, the Mac mini, Linux and Spark installs, the first visit, updates, and where Synology and Umbrel stand.

Before you start

What you need
The computer, the tools and the disk space Filamama needs, and the phones that back up to it.
Which computer
Mac mini, Linux and the Spark are supported. Synology and Umbrel come later.

Install

Install on a Mac mini
Prepare the Mac, install Node.js and ffmpeg, run the installer.
Install on Linux
Debian, Ubuntu or Fedora with systemd, on x86_64 or arm64.
Install on the Spark
The Spark is an arm64 Ubuntu 24.04 computer; Filamama installs on it with the Linux installer.
Synology and Umbrel
Filamama doesn't run on a Synology NAS or Umbrel yet. Why, and what you can do today.
