Install
Install Filamama.
Filamama installs natively on the computer you already have: one program and one database file. No Docker, no new device.
Download: coming soon. There is no public release of Filamama yet. When it ships, the download will be right here. The steps below are from the current build and may change a little for the first release.

What every install needs
- A computer that stays on at home: a Mac, or Linux with systemd.
- Node.js 26 or newer, and ffmpeg.
- Room for your photos and videos, plus about 20 GB for previews.
- Android phones on the same home network, with Piktures, for sync.
How it works
An installer checks your machine, builds Filamama and sets it up as a service that starts on its own. You open the web app in a browser at home, create the administrator, and pair the first phone with a QR code. Filamama answers on your home network only; don't forward its port on your router.
