Filamama Backup for Android shows where the backup stands on its Backup tab, and each run on its Activity tab. Here is what each message means. See The Android app for how the app works.
Waiting for the network
The backup starts as soon as the phone is online, or on Wi-Fi if Only on Wi-Fi is on in the app's Settings. With Only while charging on, the automatic backups also wait for the charger.
Waiting to be home
With Only at home on in the app's Settings, the backup runs only when it finds Filamama on the network the phone is on. Filamama wasn't found there, so the backup waits until the phone is home. If the phone is home:
- Check that it is on the home Wi-Fi, not a guest network.
- Check that the server is running and awake. See Keep it running.
- See A phone can't find the server for the firewall and subnets.
Filamama Backup can't see your photos
The app needs to see all photos and videos to back them up. If you allowed only some, it backs up only those. Tap Allow, or Open settings and allow all photos and videos.
A server that can't prove it's yours
One of Filamama's addresses answered without proving it's your server, and nothing was sent. The app pins your server's key when it pairs. If Filamama was reinstalled with a new key, unpair this phone in the app's Settings and pair it again. See Phones after a key change.
Some files failed
The backup lists how many files it couldn't send. They are tried again on the next backup.
A photo deleted on the phone is still in Filamama
That's expected. The app doesn't send deletions, favourites or folder moves yet, so deleting a photo on the phone never deletes it on the server. See Deletions and mirroring.
