Piktures, our Android app, backs up the phone to your Filamama server. Each phone is paired to one account.
With the QR code
- Install Piktures on the Android phone.
- In the web app, open Settings, Devices, Pair a phone. A QR code appears, good once for ten minutes.
- In Piktures, add your Filamama server as the backup destination and scan the code.
The QR code holds the server's addresses, the one-time code, and the fingerprint of the server's key. Piktures pins that key: from then on, the phone talks to this server and no other.
Without a camera
Type the server's address and the code instead. Piktures shows a safety code: if it matches the one in the dialog, the phone is talking to this server and pins its key. If it doesn't match, the phone sends nothing.
iPhone
Not yet. Sync is Android only for now; an iPhone app is planned, on the same protocol. The web library works in any phone browser.
