In development. Provenance is not in any release yet. This page describes what we are building; details will change.
Photos and AI images now sit side by side in the same library. Years later, you should still be able to tell them apart. Each photo will get an Origin tab with four things:
- Camera, AI or drawing. Each image gets a type, set from the camera details in the file or its Content Credentials when they say so. You can set or correct it yourself, and filter the library by type.
- What made an AI image: the prompt, the model and its settings, and the source images, linked to the originals in your library.
- C2PA Content Credentials: read, kept with the original unchanged, and left in when you download. See C2PA Content Credentials.
- Every edit, in order: each step with its date and what changed, with the earlier versions still available.
Filamama won't guess whether a photo is AI without a label. It records what it knows: the camera details in the file, the Content Credentials if there are any, and what you or the tool that made the image tell it.
